BestOnlineClock ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website bestonlineclock.com (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.
Information Collection and Use
You can use the clock, timer, alarm, stopwatch, and world-time tools without an account. The app keeps tool settings, alarms, backups, selected cities, and uploaded background references in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB. These values are not sent to our server as part of normal tool use. Uploaded backgrounds are stored in browser IndexedDB on your device when that feature is used.
Contact Form Data
If you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message that you enter so we can respond. The contact API stores those fields with a status and created/updated timestamps in Cloudflare D1. There is currently no automatic deletion period; submissions are retained only for support and service operations and should be removed when they are no longer needed. Turnstile is used to verify the submission, but its token is not stored or returned. The API does not persist or return your IP address or User-Agent; those values are used transiently to derive a rate-limit key.
Browser Permissions and Notifications
Notifications are requested only after you explicitly choose the notification option. The browser controls the permission and you can revoke it in your device or browser settings. Alarms and timers continue to require the page to remain open; no background account service is created.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate page usage and sampled performance measurement. The analytics tag is delayed until you interact with the Service or keep a page open for 30 seconds. Google AdSense is delayed until five seconds after your first interaction or until a page has remained open for 30 seconds. No first-party analytics cookie is set by the app; Google consent settings for analytics and advertising storage are denied by default, although Google may still receive measurement pings without cookies. We send the page path without its query string or fragment and sample Web Vitals for 10% of browser sessions. An optional production diagnostic reports only fixed, coarse LCP and INP categories, rounded timing, and safe route templates; it does not send metric identifiers, URLs, resource names, referrers, query strings, fragments, raw browser details, script URLs, function names, or page DOM content. This integration does not send text you enter, alarm labels, clock settings, uploaded backgrounds, or page DOM content.
We use Microsoft Clarity for limited diagnostics on 1% of browser sessions. In selected sessions, Clarity waits until ten seconds after your first interaction or until a visible page has remained open for 60 seconds. We send denied analytics and advertising storage consent before its script loads and mask page content. Clarity may receive masked page structure and interaction events in selected sessions, but our configuration instructs it not to use analytics or advertising storage.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
